She acts like summer & Walks like rain..
Hello! Im back after like a week of basking in crazyness, and now I feel more level headed with everything. Things are running past me like no tomorrow, I have once again lost myself in time. However, things don't feel like they are going too slow, nor too fast, it's perfect; Chelsea in my group actually pointed that out, and I agree with it.
Last week was a whirlwind of yawns, being house manager was very challenging, because there was always so much to do, and I wanted to please everyone with the meals and such so I worked really hard, and I was also working out everyday so that made it more exhausting. It was a good overall experience, and I learned a lot. I did find, I missed work and that I could never not have a job and just stay home and cook and clean.
Last weekend we had the United Way All Nighter Movie Festival, for high school students. And yes I mean all night, We started at 10 pm, and went all the way until 7 AM. Goodness I was so tired, and I had a rehearsal for the soup kitchen play at like 12:00 Pm that following afternoon so I was extra zombie. And that too, memorizing lines for the play has been taking up lots of my thoughts in my head. Well tonight we had our first showing of "In My Shoes" for the new season of doing it, they have been putting on this play for a few years now- so I was taking over for someone else who usually does this part, and its their personal story so it's really special for me to be apart of it, and to share it with everyone who came to watch tonight. It went very well, and all the katimavikers came to support moi, which was cool, and we put it on for the legal clinic- then they had their meeting after. It felt really rewarding after to be apart of something so amazing, next week we do it again however this time, its a dinner theatre and it will be a bigger deal, so I can get my part even extra perfect with more time reciting my lines.
Last blog post, I explained about my "Almost starting fire problems" ahhh.. had a pretty close call the other day. Remember how I explained I won't put my lip chap in the light cover again? Well if I didn't I once put my Nivea in the light right beside my bed, since im on a top bunk. This time, I put my bobby pins from the day out of my hair, a hair clip, and pony tails in there. And I went off to sleep, woke up turned the lights on, remembered I put my hair clip in.. so I took that out.. forgetting about what else was in there. It's funny because I was doing my makeup, Chelsea comes in.. Whats burning..... and yup my hair elastic was melting on to the light, and smoking. What I don't get is why didn't I smell it, and everyone else in the house could smell it before I could... Ahh I have to really work on my Almost Starting Fire problems. Also Im not aloud to burn insense everyday anymore, only 2 days of the week, because I was gettting too excessive; which makes sense although I miss the smell already ha ha!
Also something else hilarious. Since Katimavikers get bored, we have down time.. and sometimes don't know what to do with our time. So we decided it would be a grand idea to have a Katimavik wedding- I know childish right. Well I thought it was just a joke, that we got carried away with one night during supper. You know when you get a funny idea? And you just keep adding to it and it gets even funnier, although you know it would never happen. Well, David purposed to me the other night it was so funny, he is the french one who I was house manager with last week. Oh my goodness ha ha, he even got me a ring, and went on one knee and said "Amy Dawn Lona Smitzniuk, would you like to be my wife?" It was so cute. And I said yes, and now we have wedding arrangments in order. Ha ha, apparently there was a Katimavik wedding in this town before. They just got bored and did the same. I will post video clips and pictures for sure. We are going to make it really legit and funny. Im going to get a wedding dress from value village. We will have a flower girl or man ha ha. Ian will be my dad who walks me down the aisle. Im so excited ha ha. David actually invited someone from his work to come, so that will be interesting too. So now all of you will know why my name on facebook says engaged, ha ha it's just a joke, don't freak out!! Ha ha.
I always end up posting when it's really late, and I get tired by this point.
