The days all seem to run in to one.
I know it has been awhile. I have been struggling a lot lately. I didn't realize how difficult it would be away from work. I often stay up all night and get lost in all my ideas and thoughts. My search history is always interesting the day after I must say. Though I am up almost all night and then I spend valuable day light asleep. Here I am again at night.. lost in my own thoughts. I feel as if I am stuck in one place. Everything is moving as it should. But here I am.
I am blessed for that I have the opportunity to go back to California at the end of April. A very special friend has made it possible for me to go as I couldn't afford it otherwise. I will spend a few days at a beautiful meditation retreat surrounded by redwood trees. I may not be able to hike the mountain this time but I will do my best to take in the nature. I am so excited to eat pure food and find myself grounded. To be honest I fell in love with my true self at true silence path a couple years ago and I hope I can feel that love again. We often fall out of love not only with ourselves but with ideas, other people, our jobs, friends. If only we could always hold on to that love. I believe the only consistency we have in our life is our true selves. We will always have our own self to fall back on. Why not make yourself a priority right now? They say self love is the key to happiness. However so many of us fail at true happiness. I am making it my mission to get my happiness back. With every past relationship part of me got away, shed. Someone I look up to once told me this interesting way to look at relationships and your interactions with other people. Think about how you admire something beautiful. For instance walking in to a beautiful garden with flowers blooming around you. It is in our nature to admire such a beautiful sight, though would anyone dare to pick the flowers. Instead you would appreciate them, smell them, and perhaps smile. This is exactly how one should view oneself. As you interact with others picture yourself as these beautiful flowers. They can't be touched and no one will pluck away. Often we let people take from us that doesn't mean you can't be beautiful. Just remember how beautiful you are, and no one can take from you. If you can control your own energy.. or (flowers) you can share it.. but no one can take it. That always helped me stay in control of my own well being in my interactions with other people. This helps with work as well.
We truly do have the control over our happiness. We control how we react to everything out of our control. No one can hurt you but you. Someone may do something you don't like.. but then it's your turn to reflect and decide if you will allow it to stay and infect your thoughts. This is coming from the depressed girl who can't seem to get out of bed- I know crazy. Here is to all who have their daily struggle to get out of bed, to smile, and to keep on keepin' on. Just know that when we are ready to be happy we have the power to unlock such happiness. Its not far out of reach, we just sometimes choose to not do things that could potentially mean happiness. It's time to be happy again.
Love you all.
