Rain drops, and candle light.

Wow, what a day. I am exhausted. I must keep this short, but ill give you all the rundown of the last couple of days. This weekend we had time off, It was quiet, and lonely at times. It was mostly weird being away from home during the thanksgiving weekend, because lots of people go back home from school and such. However, come Monday night when we had turkey donated from one of the work partners and pumpkin pie and such it felt complete even if I don't eat the meat. Everyone was back from their time off, and it was such a funny meal, and we all went around to say what we were thankful for. So the whole ThanksGiving thing turned out lovely.

The most exciting part of my time off was the "Algoma Train Tour" I went on on Monday. Chelsea Claude and I left at like 6:50 in the morning, to the train station and of course we stopped at tims on the way. It was like dark out while we were walking, it was funny. We were pretty much running when we realized we had no idea where we were, and that we only had a few minutes to spare to make it on time. However, we made it and it was so cool boarding a train. There was so much scenary, we passed many lakes, waterfalls, valleys, and we were above ground level at some points going over water. We also saw Lake Superior on the way to the Algoma Canyon, where there was even more scenic views to take in. When we got there we climbed like 300 stairs to get up to the point where you can see the valley and the river, and it was beautiful; other than the fact my legs were burning and I was out of breathe. There was like older people, that looked like they were about go have a heart attack. It was intense ha ha, although very worth it. We also walked over to see waterfalls, it was amazing. I took tons of pictures so I will post them very soon, I actually just tried however my camera is dead so that didn't help me out.

I am house manager this week, so like I said I am cooking, cleaning and doing all that kind of stuff. Thats why I am so tired right now, today was exhausting. Grocery shopping was so funny. David and I had 2 carts filled up as much as they could go, I could barely push mine, and when I did I called it a workout, ha ha. We were under budget which is good, then I realized I forgot to get some stuff, so I have to go back tomorrow. Oh well, I am learning. My cookies even turned out today, and I got compliments, I must be off to a good start. Well I can't stop yawning...

Tonight we had french lessons, and it was interesting as per usual. I realized the soup kitchen's first showing is in a week, and I am not near ready. Now I know what my new goal for this week is, read and memorize those lines.

I have lots more to say, when I can actually think- as for now, all I can do is yawn.

p.s Good luck to all my friends who are going through midterms right now!

Peace & Love everyone!
