Happiness is not in things, it's in us..
Still trying to get those feet grounded some more. Lately I have been trying really hard to make decisions based on what will keep me happy. Often we make decisions that just make sense in the long run; financially or what ever you think is most important. I know for me in the past it was easy to be too focused on money that you lose your sight of what you really need to do just for yourself- honestly.. you should always make decisions for you, you, you. What ever makes you happy. I don't know how often I need to say you, however it is so important. I love myself. Well I am getting there, we should all feel confident to say "I love me" because that love is what keeps you growing and flying free where ever that might take you, or maybe you don't need to fly anywhere. My focus is to nurture myself, and appreciate myself more. I think for who ever reads this can maybe do the same for themselves (:
I am really enjoying my job as a support worker, I work for a really lovely person. I did a week of training and now I have already done two shifts on my own. I work Monday and Tuesday nights, so like 5 until 9 am the next day.. its nice to get paid to sleep, and to wake up and already be at work. It has been really rewarding so far, and I am excited to keep rolling with this. Of course the Jiff is always a good time, customers and the small interactions always make me happy. Which reminds me, have you ever had such a good conversation, or interaction with someone that it affects you more than what you thought possible? Well lately I have found myself running in to really interesting people, and having good talks, and then not even knowing their name or even their contact information after. Our instinct these days is to ask right away "Oh what is your full name for facebook?" I know that because thats the first thing I said when I met someone about a month ago, turns out that person was too cool for facebook and I didnt have a phone at the time, so it was just a perfect memorable run in.. and who knows if you will see those people again, i think thats why it is that special. It happens again when I am traveling and on the plane I always start conversations with who ever is beside me, its just weird our we are aligned with certain people at certain times, sometimes I will hear something that really clicks with me, and it reminds me or influences me to believe I am on the right track. Appreciate those small talks with strangers, sometimes those things can make a person who they are. And what better to challenge the fact that we are scared to death to not be connected? If you know what I mean.
smile at a stranger today;)
Peace, & love <3
