Costa Rican Independence Day and some rain on the side.
This will just be a quick update, yesterday we were setting up downtown for the independence day parade and events. I have never seen so much spirit in one community. I wish Canada day was this intense in Manitoba! After we were done we went grocery shopping, it reminded me of Katimavik when we had our long grocery lists. Soon after we got ready and we went downtown again for the opening ceremonies, and I loved it because there was a little market, and i got lots of cool handmade things! This included coffee bean necklaces, rings, earrings so cool! And an orange peel bracelet, so interesting! After the parade and those events we went our for pizza with our local friend! Afterwards we walked home, every walk is such a workout because of the inclines, not everyday do I get to walk among mountains. We were really tired when we got home, I just hung out with Jorge and soon after Diago when he got home from the disco!
Today is the actual Independence day, also known as indepenDANCE days on our calenders! We left the house at like 830 funny how we were supposed to leave at like 745.. tico time for ya. All the schools
had a different presentation in the parade, it was really cool! We are wearing our touristy costa rican hats and bandannas we are so funny! As I look out it is raining I am at the internet cafe, and today I didnt bring my rain jacket soo.. fun times I am about to have in the pouring rain. Everything is about to close since it is a holiday, we are probably going to get a game of soccer going with some of the local kids.. ps I just lost the game.. ha ha. I am so funny.

Treatless Tuesdays' we have junk food problems..
Walking Wednesdays' climb those mountains!
Theatre Thursdays' watch a movie at home
Fiesta Fridays' every friday we are celebrating someones birthday since we wont be together for any of ours
Salty Saturdays' bring on the chips
Saucy Sundays' Pizza for suppa!
Tomorrow we are going to do some work at the school, and finish planting some trees! I am covered in bug bites, and I cant stop scratching them, not fun!
