~ You are the sun and the rain, and my grass is always green ~

It's been a week since I last posted I feel like it has been instead like two weeks. Having Denis as our new PL has been so much fun. We had our KCC planning like usual, and we were introduced to our closing the project information. It is that time again where we have so much stuff we need to complete, to sum things up. I feel as if we get started, settled, then all  of a sudden we need to wrap it all up and start saying goodbye. I am in a whirlwind because time has literally spun around me, and I didn't realize how fast it can go, when you are living in the moment.  That is a good thing though, and I wouldn't choose a different way to do it.

Later on in the week we had lots of free time, since there was a huge snow storm and our second language lessons were cancelled. We were so surprised, because our french instructor always comes even if it is like pouring rain or snowing. And he walks like so far, such a trooper! Anyway we get a kick out of this fellow. It is maybe a good thing we didn't have lessons because I didn't do my homework which was memorizing many things. Instead people were out shoveling the disaster of snow we had outside, and it was ridiculous like 25 cm of snow, but don't worry there was sure more to come soon after. Thursday another night with free time, I am really enjoying these chill nights where everyone hangs out! Half the group was at youth night, so that meant supper with only like 4 or 5 of us. I am really appreciating our family dinners, that is something I will miss the most. After a busy day, our dinner is the best time to catch up and have many laughs! Friday my half of the group went to youth night. It was so crazy, the kids are like multiplying on Fridays. We mostly make sure the kids don't kill each other because they are running everywhere. I had a good time playing cards with one of the girls I know from previous weeks, and I also got to spend time with a girl who is a bit scattered right now and needed a friend. We played "Speed" the card game for a long long time. It was so much fun, I was happy she was laughing and looking happy. I really can notice the impact we are having on these kids, with just being there for them. Being there brings me back to my days in middle school and early high school days. I think I am happy with where I am now, and those days are only nice to reflect back on once in a while, I don't think I could ever re live it though.

When we arrived home from youth night, the PEI group awaited us!! They are wickedly awesome!!! We came in to like a dance party, and lots of smiles. They brought so much positive energy to our home sweet home. It's so cool we get the chance to meet other groups, and see more diversity in our groups. It's interesting to think that our house was filled from people all over Canada doubled!! It's a nice change for everyone, seeing new faces, and feeling fresh energy only does the soul good! I didn't stay up too late because I didn't feel very well, and I knew we had a busy morning. Saturday we did a scavenger hunt with the other group. We were all divided up in to 3 teams, so each team could have a van with one of the PL's. We had our support project leader as well, so that was perfect! We all had a list of things to do, like group with funny faces with a weird street sign, team leader with someone in a uniform, dancing in front of a cafe. Those are just a couple from a long list of tasks we needed to complete. We had such a fun time, however made it home 3 minutes late so that was too bad we came in last place, but that doesn't even matter! I'll show you some random pictures from our scavenger hunt! Enjoy (:

After the scavenger hunt the other group was in a rush because they had other things on their agenda to do while being in Moncton. It was okay saying bye because we will see them next weekend!!! That day was so beautiful the sun was shining, and it felt like spring. Denis Chelsea Kyle and I went skating down town, it was so funny! Other than me falling on my face once, it was all good. I am losing my ability to skate I think, I am so happy we finally got to go. Of course Kyle and I were still in our constant war to bring each other down, there were a few snow balls for sure! Denis apparently used to play hockey so he was a really good skater, kyle was going to race him but then I think he had second thoughts about that one. Afterwards I went with Denis and David to pick up Marina D from the airport. She went home for a couple days unfortunately because there was a death in her family. However she is back to the program, stronger than ever! Then we all reunited for supper on Saturday, and then once again we had the evening off. Claude taught the group how to do these wicked bracelets. It was like a craft party I loved it! It is a cool pattern, and I finally finished it. It took a few hours, but it is nice to have an outlet for my thoughts and focus on something different. Now everyone is doing them on their free time, I love it! I am actually going to start another one after this post!

Sunday we were supposed to go for a sweat at the sweat lodge in Richibouctu, but then the weather caught us off guard once again. A huge snow storm rolled in, and we were forced to cancel the event. We woke up and Evan did a creative writing workshop with us. It was so interesting, he is such a creative person. It was a nice change for us to do something like that. It is good to be productive even if we are snowed in. After lunch a few people went out to shovel all the snow, that took like an hour. Also the Richibuctou group stopped in to say Hi Sat night, and they stole one of our shovels!!! Denis was not impressed, and we were upset because when a huge snow storm is coming we can really use the extra shovel. Anyway, we spent the afternoon planning our good bye party for the community. We decided on making a video as our final presentation, and we will have it after supper dessert, tea and coffee style. Also we have to plan our debriefing week, and complete all the other odd ends. It was a lot at once, but it was good to hear it all, and start cracking on our to do list.

Today is Monday. Finally David is done his house managing week and joined me back at our lovely job. On Mondays we get to sleep in and we just sit and do publicity for the adult program. It is very boring, but we were done at like 2:00 - then we went swimming! It was so relaxing to go and not have to worry about the participants in the program, since they don't come on Mondays. After swimming we decided to walk home, and appreciate the beautiful day. It was so warm, and the sun was shining. David was only wearing a sweater, I think I can get used to this weather! Also I forgot to mention, David and I decided we will go through with our wedding. And we will celebrate our love on valentines day!!!! Ha ha ha it is going to be so funny. The plans are in progress now. Our new PL is all for being the minister to marry us. That will be an interesting day, but we have been waiting to do it for a long time. Our original wedding date was like Nov. 22nd. You know sometimes you have to do things like this in the katima life to make it interesting.

For supper we had a gangsta' themed supper. Everyone was really in to it, and we were all gangstered out! After everyone ate, it was a dance party in the kitchen as usual. After supper we have had free time, and we have been chillin out, and working on bracelets some more!

Life is good in the moment, and everyone is happy in the group. This weekend we are going to PEI and we are all super excited. I only have these last two weeks at work and then I am house manager for the last week. Time is going fast, and I am appreciating everything I have right now. I can't imagine life without my katima family at this point.

Love Love Love <3
