You’re a map of a place; maybe someday I’ll go

Hey y'all I am back a little bit sooner this time. I will try to keep track a little bit better, rather than thinking back like one week. Well in this moment, I am tired and a little bit scattered. I haven't been myself lately, and I am just trying to find that balance again. Today it was cold, I forgot to put on my slush pants over my jeans, that was a mistake. Frost Bite on the legs is not my favorite. All the adults in the program were happy as usual, and they always make me happy. We watched Mrs. Doubtfire the movie today, and I couldn't stop laughing- and like usual it was only me laughing real loud. Everyone was like "Amy, haven't you seen this before?" And I am like "Yes, it just gets funnier every time" They officially think I am crazy! Anyway I suggest that movie, if your having a bad day:) When I got home, I finished a letter for someone special and I started reading a new book. Katie made split pea soup, it was so yummy. There was only a few of us home because the other volunteers were at youth night. We usually split up so half of us go on Thursday, and then I will go with the others tomorrow (Friday). Anyway, after supper I completely crashed. I went to bed for like two hours, and I woke up thinking I was late for work. I don't enjoy being disorientated like that, although it was relieving when I realized I still got a whole night of sleep:)

On Wednesday, which was yesterday we had an interesting night. Like I mentioned before, the group is trying to do more ridiculous things. Well, we had the food fight we had been planning for the longest time, however our PL would end up being there for supper or whatever. Well it was a food fight alright, I feel really bad for wasting so much, but it will be a memory I will have forever. The house managers used those mashed potatoes which you only have to add water, and no one wanted to actually eat them. They made like two huge pots of them. All the girls were aware of this "Back to basic theme supper" So we all wore clothes we didn't care about. As for the guys they had no idea. Katie and David made us eat blind folded, that was interesting. We were so sloppy, then the fun began when Chelsea brought in the pots of potatoes. We covered the entrance with the long table, and the fun began. The whole dining room was literally potatoes. We were like sliding in them. My hair was full of it, as my clothes were too. When I left the dining room I was still squishing in the potatoes between my toes. The best part is that the French teacher showed up, and it was our first lesson. I would say it was a great impression, and he probably thought we were crazy; he probably felt more laid back to see we were obviously in no place to judge him or intimidate him while we had potatoes dripping down our faces, hair, and clothes. That lesson was very long, and a bit boring. I appreciate the fact he put so much time in to preparing his lesson, however it was a bit dragged on. He made a presentation on the history of French, and I found it interesting, how languages came to be and which ones didn't survive because there was no written form, instead only verbal. He is in his third year of Linguistics here in Moncton, I look forward to learning more french!

That is all folks, I should get going to sleep. Tomorrow I will be at the YMCA for youth night, so that means a 12 hour work day. Yay for me. I have no idea what I will do after! Also it's Sam's birthday tomorrow. Happy Birthday to you;)
